Job Description
Join a 13-week travel nursing assignment in Alexandria, Louisiana, supporting a very high-acuity unit on the night shift. This role involves caring for patients with complex conditions, including strokes, cardiovascular concerns, diabetes, wounds, behavioral health needs, sepsis, and occasional trauma cases. Nurses will provide routine and complex care, administer medications and treatments, monitor patient responses, document clinical findings, and help patients and families understand their care plans.
Work three 12-hour shifts each week from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with every other weekend coverage. The assignment offers a 4:1 nurse-to-patient ratio, no call, no floating, and an Epic electronic medical record system. AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications, de-escalation certification, and an active Louisiana or compact RN license are required.
Weather
Alexandria typically offers mild, comfortable conditions around this time of year, with pleasant daytime temperatures, cooler evenings, and opportunities to enjoy outdoor activities. Occasional rain is possible, so a light jacket and flexible plans are useful.
