Job Description:

Join a travel contract as an Emergency Department Registered Nurse in Farmington, New Mexico. You will care for adult, geriatric, pediatric, psychiatric, and medically complex patients during 12-hour night shifts, treating conditions that may include trauma, stroke, STEMI, sepsis, COPD, CHF, chest pain, and abdominal pain. The assignment uses a team nursing and pod model, with support from a dedicated social worker and unit educator. Experience with moderate sedation, trauma, stroke, STEMI, and sepsis is important for this role, along with current AHA certifications in ACLS, PALS, BLS, and TNCC. When the shift winds down, the San Juan River Valley offers plenty of room to recharge and explore.

Weather:

Farmington typically offers crisp, comfortable days, cool evenings, abundant sunshine, and generally dry conditions around this time of year. The clear skies make it a pleasant setting for outdoor activities and scenic drives.

Fun Things To Do:

  • River Valley Adventure: Explore the San Juan River by kayak or enjoy the surrounding scenic trails.
  • Cultural Day Trip: Visit Durango, Colorado, for historic downtown streets, museums, and mountain scenery.
  • National Park Day Trip: Take a scenic outing to Mesa Verde National Park and explore its remarkable cliff dwellings.
  • Outdoor Recreation: Enjoy hiking, off-roading, golfing, or boating at one of the area’s lakes.
  • Local History: Discover regional heritage through nearby historical sites, cultural attractions, and Native American art.
