Job Description:
This travel RN role places you in the heart of rural Maine, where you’ll be the vital link in providing quality emergency care at a cozy 25-bed Critical Access hospital. Expect to work 12-hour night shifts over a 13-week contract, focusing on managing acute cases such as cardiac, respiratory, and orthopedic emergencies. The role involves handling a diverse patient spectrum from newborns to the elderly, with a chance to refine your skills in IV placement, cardiac monitoring, RSI, and assessments in a supportive environment. While the hospital does not have a trauma designation, the experience will be rich with varied and challenging cases, supported by a charge nurse, RT coverage until 5 pm, and remote monitoring technology. This assignment is perfect for a seasoned ER nurse with at least one year of experience, ready to bring calm and competence to the department’s busy nights.
