Job Description:
Join a dedicated team at a busy Nebraska hospital, where you’ll step into a vital ER/Med Surg role that keeps the heart of emergency care beating. This 13-week contract offers the chance to work 12-hour night shifts, floating fluidly between ER and Med Surg units - an opportunity for seasoned RNs with at least two years of ER experience who enjoy versatility and fast-paced environments. You’ll manage a variety of urgent and acute cases such as pneumonia, cellulitis, dehydration, chest pain, and stroke, often juggling critical medications and interventions like heparin, nitro, and norepinephrine. No two nights are alike, and your organizational skills will shine as you adapt to changing patient needs, ensure smooth operations, and serve as a leader within the team. Expect a supportive atmosphere where your expertise makes a difference, with a typical week requiring around 36 hours of committed service.
Weather:
Expect mild, agreeable weather around this time of year, often characterized by comfortable temperatures and clear skies - ideal for enjoying outdoor activities after your shifts.
Fun Things To Do:
- Historical walking tour of Gordon’s downtown district
- Fishing at nearby Lake Minatare
- Visit Scotts Bluff National Monument in neighboring Nebraska
- Explore Chimney Rock in Western Nebraska
- Hiking in Bikel Creek State Park
