Job Description:

Join a bustling rural emergency department in Adrian, Michigan, for a 13-week contract as a registered nurse specializing in emergency care. This role offers a chance to work within a 27-bed ED, providing critical support to patients of all ages - from neonates to geriatrics - handling diverse cases such as trauma, stroke, cardiac issues, OB/GYN emergencies, and mental health evaluations. You’ll float within the service line as needed, managing a patient census of around 76, with a staffing ratio of roughly 1:4 to 5. Night shifts run 4 days per week from 6:30 pm to 7:00 am, offering a rewarding work schedule. Be prepared to interpret and manage dysrhythmias, administer blood products, start IVs, and handle ventilated patients - all in a supportive environment with 24/7 coverage by experienced providers. This assignment is unique for its rural setting, exposure to a wide variety of cases, and the opportunity to work with a dedicated trauma IV designation and specialized forensic nursing.
