Original job description

Job Description:

This 13-week travel assignment is designed for an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse in a hospital setting. Working nights, you will assess and prioritize care for adult, geriatric, pediatric, and behavioral health patients; administer treatments under physician direction; monitor responses; support triage and discharge planning; and coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team. The role includes working with complex presentations, caring for pediatric patients, and using Epic. Trauma experience and previous travel nursing experience are valued, while BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC, and CPI or NCISH credentials are required. Your night shift may feel a little like the hospital’s own after-hours command center.

Weather:

Expect crisp, cool conditions with comfortable afternoons, chilly evenings, and occasional rain. The surrounding mountain setting can bring changing temperatures, so layers and a light rain jacket are useful.

Fun Things To Do:

• Downtown Hendersonville: Browse local shops, galleries, cafés, and restaurants.

• Blue Ridge Mountain Drives: Take a scenic drive through the surrounding mountain roads.

• Day Trip – Asheville: Explore the city’s arts, dining, breweries, and cultural attractions.

• Day Trip – Pisgah National Forest: Enjoy hiking, waterfalls, and mountain scenery.

• Local Orchards and Farm Stands: Sample seasonal produce and regional treats.

Job Specifics:

Location: Hendersonville, North Carolina Shift: Nights, 6:45 p.m. to 7:15 a.m. Schedule: 36 hours per week Duration: 13 weeks
