Original job description

Job Description:

This 13-week travel contract is designed for an experienced emergency department registered nurse who can coordinate and deliver care across adult, geriatric, pediatric, and behavioral health populations. Working night shifts, you will assess patients, prioritize complex needs, administer treatment under physician direction, document care and responses, support discharge planning, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team. The assignment calls for emergency, triage, trauma, and Epic experience, along with the ability to keep calm when the department gets busy - because the night shift rarely reads the schedule.

Weather:

Expect crisp, comfortable days, cooler evenings, and generally pleasant conditions for exploring the area. Occasional rain may pass through, so a light jacket and flexible outdoor plans are useful.

Fun Things To Do:

  • Downtown Hendersonville: Browse local shops, galleries, and restaurants along Main Street.
  • Blue Ridge Parkway: Take a scenic day trip through mountain overlooks and forested roads.
  • Asheville: Spend a day exploring breweries, art, music, and distinctive local dining.
  • DuPont State Recreational Forest: Enjoy a day trip featuring waterfalls, trails, and mountain scenery.
  • Hendersonville wineries and cideries: Sample regional beverages while taking in the surrounding foothills.

Job Specifics:

Location: Hendersonville, North Carolina

Shift: Nights, 6:45 p.m. to 7:15 a.m.

Duration: 13 weeks

Hours: 36 hours per week
