Job Description:

Join a Tucson Emergency Department as a Registered Nurse on a 13-week travel contract. You will care for emergency patients while using the nursing process, clinical judgment, and current nursing standards to anticipate needs and support safe care. This overnight assignment follows a 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. schedule for three 12-hour shifts each week. The role includes prioritizing care, directing assigned personnel, maintaining emergency nursing competencies, and floating as needed. Charge nurse experience is preferred, and experience with Cerner is helpful. Required credentials include BLS, ACLS, PALS, and an Arizona nursing license.

Weather:

Tucson typically offers sunny, dry days with comfortable temperatures and cooler evenings around this time of year. The low humidity makes outdoor activities pleasant, though a light layer is useful after sunset.

Fun Things To Do:

• Desert Adventure: Explore Saguaro National Park’s scenic trails and iconic cactus landscapes.

• Local Culture: Visit the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum for regional wildlife, gardens, and exhibits.

• Food and History: Walk through Tucson’s historic districts and sample local Southwestern cuisine.

• Day Trip: Drive to Bisbee to explore its historic streets, galleries, and distinctive mountain-town character.

• Day Trip: Visit Mount Lemmon for mountain scenery, hiking, and a change of pace from the desert floor.

Job Specifics:

City and State: Tucson, Arizona Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m., three shifts per week Duration: 13 weeks, 36 hours per week
