Job Description:

Join a high-acuity emergency department travel assignment in San Luis Obispo as an Emergency Room Registered Nurse. You will care for approximately 65 patients per day, including trauma patients requiring stabilization and transfer, STEMI and stroke cases, pediatric emergencies, flu, abdominal pain, and orthopedic injuries. Most patients present with an acuity level of 1, 2, or 3, and the department manages a high admission rate. The 12-hour night shift includes caring for critically ill patients, managing drips such as propofol, Precedex, and Cardizem, and working alongside physicians, mid-level providers, respiratory therapy, EMTs, and support staff. Block scheduling may be accommodated but is not guaranteed. One weekend per month is required, and holiday coverage follows the permanent staff rotation.
