Original job description
Job Description:
This travel contract is for an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse supporting a freestanding emergency setting in Houston. The assignment includes 12-hour night shifts caring for emergency patients, performing assessments, starting peripheral IVs, completing EKGs, managing ventilators and BiPAP, and using point-of-care laboratory equipment. Nurses may float to another freestanding emergency department or the main emergency department. A royal blue scrub uniform is required, and the schedule includes every other weekend off with four weekend shifts required during each four-week period.
Weather:
Houston typically offers warm afternoons, mild evenings, and generally comfortable outdoor conditions during this time of year. Occasional rain is possible, so a light waterproof layer may be useful.
Fun Things To Do:
• Space Exploration: Visit Space Center Houston for exhibits, spacecraft, and behind-the-scenes experiences.
• Arts and Culture: Explore the Houston Museum District, including its art, science, and natural history museums.
• Outdoor Escape: Walk or bike along Buffalo Bayou Park and enjoy skyline views.
• Day Trip: Head to Galveston for beaches, historic neighborhoods, and waterfront dining.
• Day Trip: Visit Brazos Bend State Park for hiking, wildlife viewing, and scenic trails.
