Original job description

Job Description:

This 13-week travel emergency-care assignment in Tucson is designed for an experienced registered nurse who can care for patients of all ages and diagnoses during overnight shifts. You will assess and stabilize emergency patients, manage a varied caseload, and coordinate admissions or transfers when specialty services are needed. The department is not a trauma, stroke, or STEMI center; complex cases are transported to the appropriate facility. You will work with EPIC, wear Caribbean Blue scrubs, and may occasionally float to a sister facility. Previous charge experience is preferred.

Weather:

Tucson typically offers sunny, dry weather around this time of year, with comfortable daytime temperatures and cooler mornings and evenings. The clear skies make it easy to enjoy outdoor activities before or after a shift.

Fun Things To Do:

• Desert Discovery: Explore the trails, gardens, and exhibits at Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum.

• Mountain Day Trip: Take a scenic drive into Mount Lemmon for hiking, views, and cooler alpine scenery.

• Culture and History: Visit Mission San Xavier del Bac and learn about one of the region’s most distinctive landmarks.

• Canyon Day Trip: Spend a day exploring Sabino Canyon’s walking paths and desert landscapes.

• Downtown Evening: Enjoy local dining, galleries, and entertainment in Tucson’s vibrant downtown districts.
