Job Description:
Take on a 13-week travel contract in a cardiovascular and thoracic ICU in Lexington, Kentucky. This 12-hour night assignment supports critically ill adults with generalized ICU, cardiac, respiratory failure, and post-open-heart needs. You will care for complex patients requiring multiple vasopressors, titrate medications such as Levophed, Epinephrine, Vaso, Cardene, Primacor, and Heparin, and manage patients with balloon pumps, Impella devices, and CRRT. The ICU has in-house intensivist coverage, 24/7 respiratory therapy support, and self-scheduling balanced around unit needs. No call is required, though scheduled shifts may be canceled on a four-hour basis.
