RN: CVICU

Job Description:

Join a 13-week CVICU travel contract in New Brunswick, New Jersey, caring for complex cardiovascular and post-operative patients on 12-hour day shifts. This assignment is designed for an experienced Registered Nurse comfortable with fresh CABG, MVR, AVR, and TAVR cases, as well as Impella, IABP, and CRRT using PrisMax. You will manage ventilated patients, titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips, interpret dysrhythmias, monitor temporary pacemakers, and support post-operative open-heart recovery.

The role includes floating within your skill set to other critical-care areas as needed. Candidates must hold an active New Jersey or Compact license and ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications, with at least two years of recent CVICU experience. EPIC experience is required. First-time travelers and local candidates are welcome.

Expect generally crisp, comfortable days with cool mornings, mild afternoons, colorful foliage, and occasional light rain. It is a pleasant time for exploring outdoors, though a light jacket and layers are useful.
