Job Description
Join a small laboratory team in Winona, Minnesota, as a certified Medical Laboratory Technician or Medical Technologist on an overnight contract assignment. This role supports chemistry, hematology, serology, coagulation, and potentially blood bank services, with responsibility for covering at least three of these areas. Duties include manual differentials, manual cell counts, specimen processing, and phlebotomy. Night-shift travelers help keep the lab moving independently while filling scheduling gaps across the department - ideal for a capable night owl who enjoys variety.
Applicants must have at least two years of laboratory experience and current ASCP certification as an MLT or MT. Generalist experience is preferred, and experience with Cerner, Remisol, and comparable laboratory equipment is valuable. First-time travelers are welcome. The assignment includes two weeks of orientation with a preceptor, adjusted to the traveler’s experience and skill set.

Winona typically experiences crisp, cool conditions around this time of year, with colorful scenery, comfortable daytime temperatures for exploring, and cooler evenings along the Mississippi River. Pack layers and a warm jacket for outdoor activities.
