Job Description:

Join a surgical services team in Kalamazoo as a Certified Surgical Technologist First Assistant supporting adult cases in a general operating room and trauma setting. You will assist with sterile technique, surgical instrumentation, case carts, scopes and fiber-optic equipment, electrosurgical units, drills, specimen handling, wound care, and operating room safety procedures. The assignment includes four 10-hour day shifts with overnight and weekend call, providing exposure to a broad range of surgical specialties and advanced procedures. Scrubs are provided, and first-time travelers are welcome with the required experience.

Expect crisp, cool conditions with a mix of cloudy and partly sunny days. Temperatures can vary, with occasional rain and the possibility of brisk winds, so layers and a weather-ready jacket are useful.
