This role offers wide exposure across provision, domestic and international taxation, indirect taxes, tax research, and tax technology within a lean, collaborative tax team. It is an excellent opportunity for an early-career tax professional who wants to work on technically challenging issues while using Excel, automation, and modern tax tools to improve processes.Responsibilities
- Assist with quarterly and year-end ASC 740 income tax provision activities, including preparing supporting calculations, reconciliations, and workpapers.
- Support U.S. federal and multi-state corporate income tax compliance, including estimated tax payments, apportionment calculations, tax depreciation, and other recurring corporate tax requirements.
- Assist with international tax matters and compliance involving foreign operations and entities, including exposure to Form 1120-F and other cross-border tax considerations.
- Prepare, organize, and analyze tax-related data using Microsoft Excel and various tax and financial applications.
- Collaborate with senior tax team members on international initiatives, including areas such as Pillar Two and other evolving global tax requirements.
- Provide support across indirect tax areas such as sales and use tax, VAT, excise tax, and property tax as business needs arise.
- Research tax issues and help evaluate how business transactions, operational changes, or organizational changes may affect the companys tax obligations.
- Assist in responding to tax audits and information requests while maintaining accurate, well-organized supporting documentation.
- Work closely with internal business partners and outside tax advisers to resolve tax questions and support compliance requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve existing tax processes through better use of Excel, automation, tax technology, data tools, and AI-enabled solutions.
- Remain flexible in supporting additional tax matters in a lean environment where the team handles a broad range of tax issues.
- Manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality work and attention to detail.
Essential Skills
- Strong working knowledge of ASC 740 and corporate income tax provision work, including quarterly tax provision and year-end income tax reporting.
- Hands-on experience preparing tax calculations, supporting schedules, documentation, and meeting financial reporting requirements.
- Experience with U.S. corporate federal and state income taxation, including estimated payments, tax depreciation, and state apportionment.
- Exposure to international or foreign corporate tax matters, including familiarity with foreign corporations and Form 1120-F.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, with the ability to manipulate tax data, reconcile calculations, research discrepancies, and manage detailed schedules.
- Ability to use Microsoft applications and tax software to support provision and compliance activities.
- Approximately 2 to 3 years of relevant corporate tax or public accounting experience preferred, with at least 1 year in public accounting or 2 years in a large corporate tax department.
- Strong analytical and research skills with close attention to detail.
- Ability to balance multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-moving, deadline-driven environment.
- Comfort working as part of a small, collaborative tax team where responsibilities extend across multiple tax specialties.
- Willingness and ability to learn company-specific systems and new tax technologies.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or a related discipline, with tax concentration or coursework preferred.
- Experience supporting international tax compliance and cross-border tax considerations.
- Comfort working across domestic and international tax issues rather than in a single, highly specialized area.
- Interest in using technology, automation, data tools, and AI-enabled solutions to improve tax processes and efficiency.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal business partners and external tax advisers.
- Adaptable mindset and willingness to take on work outside one primary tax specialty as team needs evolve.
