Production Coordinator

  • Location: On-Site | Ashworth Awards | North Attleboro, MA
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
  • Reports To: General Manager

About the Role: Keep Production Moving. Keep Every Order on Track.

  • We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Production Coordinator to help keep our manufacturing operations running smoothly. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys managing moving parts, tracking deadlines, coordinating people and materials, and solving problems before they become bigger issues.
  • Working closely with our Production teams, Purchasing, Receiving, Sales, Design, and Business Operations, you will help ensure customer orders move efficiently from initial production planning through completion. From monitoring schedules and coordinating vendor deliveries to communicating priorities and following up on outstanding items, you will play an important role in keeping our commitments to customers on track.
  • This is a hands-on coordination role focused on organization, communication, and execution over formal employee management. As Ashworth Awards continues to grow, this position offers the opportunity to develop additional operational responsibilities and potentially progress into Production Management.

What You'll Be Responsible For:

  • Production Scheduling & Order Coordination
  • Monitor production schedules, order status, deadlines, and shipping commitments.
  • Help prioritize orders based on due dates, customer commitments, material availability, and production capacity.
  • Review production paperwork and order details for accuracy and completeness.
  • Track orders through each stage of production, following up on outstanding tasks and identifying potential delays.
  • Communicate schedule updates and coordinate handoffs between production areas and departments.
  • Vendor, Materials & Supply Coordination
  • Monitor material and supply needs against the production schedule.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing, Receiving, and vendors to track orders, deliveries, and material availability.
  • Complete supply and vendor orders directly affecting Manufacturing.
  • Follow up on shortages, late deliveries, and supply issues that could affect production.
  • Maintain accurate records of vendor communications, material status, and order-related updates.
  • Team Coordination & Problem-Solving
  • Work directly with production team members and team leads to communicate priorities and clarify next steps.
  • Help resolve routine scheduling, documentation, and production-flow issues.
  • Escalate significant production disruptions, safety concerns, and employee policy or conduct matters to the General Manager. Formal policy and disciplinary conversations are handled by the General Manager.
  • Identify recurring problems and recommend practical improvements.
  • Provide day-to-day workflow direction and help coordinate work between production areas.
  • Documentation & Process Improvement
  • Maintain accurate production schedules, order trackers, paperwork, and status reports.
  • Update order information in company systems and spreadsheets.
  • Follow up on approvals, materials, and other dependencies to prevent orders from stalling.
  • Identify opportunities to improve organization, communication, and workflow efficiency.

To ensure clarity and alignment, this role:

  • Does not make decisions regarding employee relations, corrective action, or organizational needs.
  • Does not approve time off, schedules, or payroll.
  • Does not enforce policy; only supports documentation and coordination.
  • May step in only in urgent situations when a manager is unavailable.
  • All policies and final decisions are owned and approved by leadership.

Qualifications:

•

5+ years of experience in manufacturing coordination, production coordination, production planning, or operations within a physical-product & multi-product environment.

•

Experience working directly on a manufacturing or production floor, observing workflows, identifying bottlenecks, and coordinating solutions with production team members.

•

Experience creating, documenting, or updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, or other process documentation.

•

Demonstrated ability to coordinate production schedules, prioritize orders, track materials, and follow up with vendors or internal departments.

•

Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing deadlines and shifting priorities.

•

Experience with ERP systems, inventory tracking, or production management software.

  • You can turn complex processes into clear, easy-to-follow instructions that help teams work consistently.
  • You're proactive, collaborative, and excited to help a growing manufacturing operation become more efficient.
