Behavioral Direct Support Professional (DSP)

Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Navesink, NJ: $18–24/hr, part-time and full-time, day, evening and weekend hours. Your rate in this range depends on the position and your experience. Tell us the days and times you can work. About the role ASG Home Care is a DDD-approved provider in New Jersey. As a Direct Support Professional, you support one person with a developmental disability at home and in the community. In this role you follow a Behavior Support Plan written by a licensed behaviorist, using calm, proactive strategies. Experience supporting people with behavioral needs is preferred. What you will do

• Help with daily routines like meals, dressing and personal care
• Go with the person to activities, errands and appointments
• Help them build life skills and do more on their own
• Follow their support plan and write short notes after each visit What we're looking for
• 3 or more years of experience as a DSP or in a similar caregiving role preferred
• Age 18 or older
• This position requires NJ DDD-mandated background screening, including fingerprinting and a Central Registry check, completed after an offer is accepted
• Caring, patient and on time Schedule and location Part-time and full-time openings in Navesink, NJ, with day, evening and weekend hours.
