As the Applied AI Analyst you will put AI to work for the business - enabling, deploying, and driving adoption of the new solutions the IT Platforms & Integrations team builds, and helping business teams build their own agents that leverage data in the Microsoft Fabric data warehouse. You are the business-facing owner of these new solutions: you document the detailed, testable requirements the engineering team builds against, then lead rollout, enablement, and adoption once they ship. Rooted in Our Values you will translate business need into practical, responsible applications of AI and data that create measurable value.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Serve as the business analyst for the new solutions the team builds - starting with the eTank monitoring platform and the Product Data Platform - eliciting and documenting detailed, testable requirements and acceptance criteria for handoff to the engineering team
- Own deployment and adoption of these solutions: coordinate user acceptance testing and validation with business owners, plan rollout, enable users, create enablement materials, and drive uptake once engineering delivers
- Enable and coach business teams to build their own AI agents, preferably in Microsoft Copilot (Copilot Studio), that draw on governed data in the Microsoft Fabric data warehouse
- Build reference agents and prototypes to demonstrate what is possible and to accelerate business adoption
- Partner with the Data Engineer and the IT Platforms Architect so solutions and agents use well-modeled, governed Fabric data
- Progressively take ownership of future solutions the team builds as they are defined
- Identify and prioritize high-value, practical AI and automation use cases across the business; champion responsible use of AI
- Stay current on AI developments - new model releases, tooling, and emerging use cases - and bring relevant advances to the team and the business
- Maintain clear documentation of solution requirements, agent configurations, and enablement guides
- Serve as the bridge between business owners and the engineering team for these solutions
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent experience
Experience and/or Training:
- 3+ years in business analysis or a solutions/enablement role translating business needs into detailed, testable requirements
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Copilot or Copilot Studio (or comparable AI assistant/agent tooling)
- Working experience with a modern data or BI platform (Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, or similar) and a working understanding of data models
- Experience enabling or coaching business users to adopt new tools or solutions
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong requirements elicitation and documentation; produces build-ready specifications and acceptance criteria the engineering team can build and test against
- Technical fluency with AI agent tooling (Microsoft Copilot / Copilot Studio) and with data concepts (Fabric, semantic models) sufficient to build prototypes and guide others
- Ability to enable and coach non-technical business users toward self-service
- Excellent communication; bridges business and engineering audiences
- Practical judgment on where AI and automation add value - and where they do not
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent solution and adoption efforts across stakeholders
- Working knowledge of responsible-AI practices and data governance
- Experience building agents in Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Platform, or comparable low-code/AI tooling
- Hands-on experience with Claude and other leading AI assistants and how they are applied in a business setting
- Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric medallion architecture and Power BI semantic models
- Business-analysis experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment
- Familiarity with enterprise platforms such as JD Edwards, Salesforce, BigCommerce, or ServiceNow
- Change-management, training, or adoption experience
Physical, Mental, Environmental Demands:
- Primarily sedentary role with occasional standing, walking, and lifting of office equipment
- Ability to comprehend and follow instructions, perform complex or varied tasks, solve problems, make decisions, and communicate effectively in written and verbal form
- Continuous reasoning, analysis, and collaboration with business and technical stakeholders
- Work performed in a professional office environment with regular use of computers, phones, and standard office equipment
