Job Description
The Sterile Processing Tech will be responsible for sterilization, decontamination, assembly, and wrapping of surgical instruments and equipment. This role requires experience in a Level I Trauma Center and familiarity with cases in neuro, GU, robotics, ENT, ortho, transplant, and gynecology.
Responsibilities
- Perform sterilization and decontamination processes for surgical instruments.
- Assemble and wrap instruments according to established protocols.
- Ensure compliance with infection control procedures.
- Maintain accurate documentation of sterilization processes.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to meet their needs.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in sterile processing.
- Experience in a Level I Trauma Center.
- Knowledge of sterilization techniques and procedures.
Certifications/Licensure
- National Certifications: CBSPD and/or HSPA required.
- Valid South Carolina RN License is preferred but not mandatory; pending licenses with proof of application accepted.
