Certified Sterile Processing Tech ARMStaffing is looking for a Sterile Processing Tech, Trauma Level I and II (Night Shift) in Baltimore, Maryland. Location Baltimore, MD Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule/Shift Scheduled for 5 shifts per week, night shift from 23:00 to 07:30. Weekend and holiday work may be required as scheduled.
Job Description
As a Sterile Processing Tech in a Trauma Level I and II environment, you will be responsible for maintaining instrument sterilization and ensuring proper processing of surgical tools and equipment. Your expertise in using specialized sterilization equipment will be essential in supporting surgical teams.
Responsibilities
- Operate steam sterilizers, washer disinfectors, VPR low-temperature sterilizers, and other specialized equipment.
- Ensure proper packaging and sterilization of instruments.
- Process scopes with the Medivator and Scope Buddy.
- Maintain accurate records of sterilization procedures and equipment usage.
- Follow aseptic techniques and adhere to safety and quality standards.
- Float within the specialty as needed, including decontamination tasks.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in sterile processing, specifically in Trauma Level I and II settings.
- Prior charge experience preferred.
- Experience with community hospital environments is preferred.
Certifications/Licensure
- Active CBSPD and IAHCSMM/HSPA certifications required.
- BLS certification required.
- Compliance with all required vaccinations, including flu vaccine (no exemptions).
