Job Description
Join Community Medical Center's Surgical Department as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST). The facility provides comprehensive adult and pediatric surgical services, equipped with advanced technology across multiple specializations including General, Gynecological, Urology, Orthopedics, Orthopedic Spine, Plastics, and Pediatric Surgery. The surgical team supports a diverse patient population, including geriatrics, adults, and pediatrics, ensuring personalized and high-quality care close to home.
Responsibilities
- Assist in surgical operations by preparing operating rooms and sterile instruments.
- Work alongside surgeons and other healthcare professionals to ensure a seamless surgical process.
- Maintain a high standard of hygiene and safety in the surgical environment.
- Document surgical procedures and patient information accurately within the electronic health record system (Cerner).
- Adhere to hospital protocols and Joint Commission requirements for surgical services.
Required Experience
Minimum of 3 years experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist with proficiency in DaVinci Surgical Systems and various surgical specialties including General, Urology, Gynecology, Orthopedics, and Pediatrics.
Certifications/Licensure
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Certification
- BLS Certification
- NRP/PALS Certification (preferred)
