Job Description
The Surg Tech position in the Operating Room at Methodist Hospital Hill Country involves providing surgical support in a fast-paced environment. The unit consists of 5 operating rooms and aims to deliver optimal patient care through advanced technology and skilled staff. The role includes working with specialized equipment such as the ENT microscope, Boston Scientific Mose Laser, and Intuitive Robot X series among others.
Responsibilities
- Assist in surgical procedures, ensuring sterile techniques are maintained.
- Prepare and organize the operating room prior to surgical procedures.
- Handle and manage surgical instruments and equipment.
- Support the surgical team in maintaining a proper flow during operations.
- Participate in post-operative care and room turnover preparation.
Required Experience
Candidates must have experience in Ortho, General, robotics, vascular, and Gyn procedures.
Certifications/Licensure
All candidates must possess a valid BLS certification.
