Assignment Duration
This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule/Shift
Day shift from 07:00 AM to 03:30 PM, up to 5 days a week. On-call required for nights and weekends.
Job Description
The OR Tech will assist in managing the operating room environment, ensuring all instruments and equipment are sterile and available for surgical procedures. The ideal candidate will have experience in orthopedic and joint procedures.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain a sterile and safe environment for surgical procedures.
- Assist surgeons and nursing staff during orthopedic and joint surgeries.
- Handle surgical instruments and equipment with care and precision.
- Monitor patient conditions and report any changes to the surgical team.
- Adhere to safety protocols and infection control measures.
Required Experience
Prior experience in an operating room setting, specifically with orthopedic and joint procedures is required.
Certifications/Licensure
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Current certification or completion of an approved program for Surgical Technology preferred.
