Day shift from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with on-call responsibilities one day each week and one weekend that includes Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Job Description
The Surgical Technologist will work in the Surgery unit at Medical City Sachse, which features a small, dedicated team and a variety of surgical procedures. This position involves assisting with surgical operations, including robotic procedures, orthopedic surgeries, spine surgeries, podiatry cases, and endoscopic procedures, amongst others. Familiarity with EMR systems like Meditech Expanse is essential.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain the operating room, instruments, and sterile supplies.
- Assist surgeons and surgical teams during procedures.
- Ensure patient safety and adherence to aseptic techniques throughout the surgical process.
- Handle instrumentation and assist with patient positioning.
- Perform other duties as assigned related to the surgical process.
Required Experience
Candidates must have a strong background in surgical technology with experience in robotics, orthopedics, spine, podiatry, and endoscopy procedures.
Certifications/Licensure
NBSTSA CST Certification is required.
