8-hour day shift; the unit works from 11a-5:30p.

Job Description

This position is for a Certified Surgical Technologist in the Operating Room at Jefferson Torresdale Hospital. The department features 8 operating rooms and primarily serves adult and geriatric patients. You will participate in surgical procedures and ensure the operating room is sterile and well-prepared.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain the sterile field during surgical procedures.
• Assist surgeons and other medical personnel during operations.
• Handle and manage surgical instruments and equipment.
• Perform wound care and dressing changes.
• Follow Universal Protocol and participate in time-out procedures.

Required Experience

• 2 years of Operating Room Surgical Tech experience required.
• Strong General OR and trauma experience is essential.
• Vascular, neuro, and urology procedures experience is required.

Certifications/Licensure

• BLS certification required.
• CST certification required.
• No Pennsylvania state licensure requirement specified.
