This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule/Shift
This position requires call 2-4 days a month, and may also require holidays. The typical shift is from 07:00 AM to 07:30 PM.
Job Description
The Surgical Technician will assist in surgical procedures, ensuring a sterile environment, and working closely with the surgical team. Responsibilities include preparing and maintaining the operating room, handling surgical instruments, and assisting with patient positioning and care during the surgical process.
Responsibilities
- Prepare the operating room and ensure it is properly equipped for surgical procedures.
- Assist the surgical team with instruments and supplies during surgery.
- Maintain a sterile field throughout surgical procedures.
- Position patients for surgery and monitor their safety during procedures.
- Perform surgical counts and ensure all instruments are accounted for post-surgery.
Required Experience
Prior experience as a Surgical Technician in an operating room setting is required.
Certifications/Licensure
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist is preferred.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
