ARMStaffing is looking for a Surgical Technician, Operating Room (Day Shift) in Westerville, Ohio.

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

3x12 hour shifts, 07:00 AM to 07:30 PM. Weekday, weekend, and holiday call required, split evenly among the group and varying every 6 weeks.

Job Description

The Surgical Technician will assist in the surgical team by preparing the operating room, ensuring all instruments and supplies are sterile and ready for use. This role involves close collaboration with surgeons and nurses to facilitate smooth surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room by setting up surgical instruments and equipment.
• Assist the surgical team during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining a sterile environment.
• Handle surgical specimens and ensure proper care of all surgical instruments.
• Monitor patient safety and comfort during surgical procedures.
• Perform regular equipment checks and report any malfunctioning tools.

Required Experience

Candidates must have experience as a Surgical Technician in an operating room setting.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist preferred.
