8-hour evening shifts, 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with weekend, call, and holiday requirements.
Job Description
The Certified Surgical Tech will function under the direct supervision of an RN, assisting in nursing care and preparation of surgical patients. Responsibilities include maintaining a sterile environment, ensuring surgical equipment is functional and safe, and assisting surgeons during procedures.
Responsibilities
- Assist with scrubbing duties in the operating room, especially in orthopedic surgeries.
- Participate in the cleaning, sterilization, and disinfection of surgical instruments.
- Respond to all situations with precision and efficiency.
- Assist in the precepting of new staff when needed.
Required Experience
- Completion of a Certified Surgical Tech program.
- Ortho surgical experience.
- Travel experience in a surgical tech capacity.
- Experience with Da Vinci surgical systems.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Certifications/Licensure
- Must be a certified surgical tech.
