Job Description
The Surgical Technologist will work in the Operating Room at Portsmouth Regional Hospital, assisting in various surgical procedures. This role includes scrubbing for most surgical specialties including Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, General Surgery, and Robotics, among others. The Surgical Technologist will utilize the EMR system Meditech in day-to-day operations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain the sterile field during surgical procedures.
- Assist the surgical team in patient positioning, instrument handling, and specimen management.
- Monitor and maintain surgical instruments and equipment.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Required Experience
Minimum of 2 years experience in a hospital setting as a Surgical Technologist.
Certifications/Licensure
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- New Hampshire Med Tech License required.
