Job Description
This position requires a caregiver who provides surgical support under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse or Clinical Supervisor. The Surgical Technician assists the surgeon with instrumentation needs, acts as a liaison between the physician, patient, and family, and collaborates with other healthcare team members. Responsibilities also include assisting in the orientation process of new personnel, managing call coverage, attending team meetings, and supporting general surgery as needed.
Required Experience
- Must have at least 2 years of prior experience as a Surgical Technician.
- At least 1 year of travel/temp experience is required.
- Experience in ortho, neuro/ortho spine, general/robotics, urology/gyn, and vascular is essential.
Certifications / Licensure
- Passage of the National Surgical Technician Certification Exam is preferred.
- Basic Life Support Certification through the American Heart Association is required.
