Surgical Technologist - Level 1 Trauma

Schedule

This position requires commitment to a rotating schedule, including days, evenings, and nights. Call and weekend shifts are mandatory, which may include up to three weekend shifts in a six-week period. On-call responsibilities will vary, requiring a response time of 30 minutes.

Job Description

As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in operating rooms, working closely with surgeons and other healthcare professionals. You will be required to have a strong background in a variety of surgical specialties, particularly in a Level 1 Trauma center setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical procedures across various specialties including General, Orthopedic (total joint), Neurosurgery (Crani & Spine), Vascular, Trauma, Robotics (DaVinci), and Transplant.
• Ensure all surgical instruments and supplies are prepared and sterile for each procedure.
• Maintain communication with the surgical team to facilitate efficient workflow in the operating room.
• Participate in cleaning and preparing the operating room between procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of surgical experience in an operating room within the last 3 years; preference for 3 years.
• Experience in Level 1 Trauma settings for at least 1 year of the last 3 years.
• A minimum of 1 year of travel experience within the last 3 years.
• Strong proficiency in General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Neurosurgery, Vascular Surgery, Trauma, Robotic Surgery, and Transplant Surgery.
