Assignment Duration
This is a 16-week contract position.
Schedule/Shift
5x8 Mid Shift (12:00 PM - 8:30 PM); manager may consider 4x10 shifts with rotating weekends. Every other weekend on-call may be required.
Job Description
This position involves working in an operating room setting performing multispecialty surgeries. The Sterile Processing Technician will be responsible for ensuring the proper sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the sterilization process for surgical instruments.
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of sterile processing equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety and health regulations.
- Document sterilization processes and maintain accurate records.
- Participate in quality control measures, including routine testing and monitoring of sterilizers.
- Provide training and support to staff in sterile processing protocols.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 2 years experience required, with lead experience preferred.
- First-time travelers will be considered with strong skills and experience.
Certifications/Licensure
- IAHCSMM or HSPA certification is required.
- Active MD or Compact License is required at the time of submission.
