Job Description
The Sterile Processing Technician will be responsible for managing and maintaining sterile instruments and equipment. This role includes preparing, sterilizing, and distributing surgical instruments following the established protocols and standards. Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols is essential to ensure compliance with health regulations.
Responsibilities
- Clean, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment.
- Monitor sterilization equipment and record data to ensure compliance.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of sterilization equipment.
- Ensure proper storage of sterilized items and supply inventory.
Required Experience
- Completion of a Sterile Processing Technician program.
- Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
Certifications/Licensure
- Current BLS certification.
- SPT certification required.
