5x8-hour shifts, 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM; rotating weekends and holiday rotation required.
Job Description
This position is for a Sterile Processing Technician at a Level I Trauma Center and Magnet Hospital. The role involves sterilization, decontamination, assembly, and wrapping of surgical instruments. The technician will work with various surgical cases including neuro, GU, robotics, ENT, ortho, transplant, and GYN.
Responsibilities
- Ensure proper sterilization and decontamination of instruments and equipment.
- Assemble and wrap surgical instruments accurately.
- Maintain compliance with hospital protocols and safety standards.
- Participate in ongoing training and education as required.
- May be required to float between sister facilities as needed.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in sterile processing.
- Experience in a Level I Trauma Center is required.
- Strong knowledge of sterilization and decontamination processes.
Certifications/Licensure
- National certification from CBSPD and/or HSPA is required.
- BLS certification is not required.
