Job Description
Join the team at the Acute Rehabilitation Unit at Mercy Hospital Ada, where you will work with a diverse patient population including those with neurology, orthopedics, debility, and cognitive impairments. This position involves providing therapeutic evaluations, treatment planning, and interventions tailored to patients’ specific needs. You will have access to state-of-the-art equipment such as Sara steady and hoyers, and work within an interdisciplinary team to enhance patient recovery and rehabilitation.
Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Provide therapy sessions to improve communication and swallowing abilities.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Document patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.
- Participate in patient and family education regarding rehabilitation goals and strategies.
Required Experience
Experience in an Acute Rehabilitation Unit or similar setting is preferred. Must possess relevant therapy licensure.
Certifications/Licensure
Current Speech Language Pathologist licensure required.
