Job Description

The Travel RN for the Transplant Service will work primarily in an outpatient environment focusing on abdominal transplant services including liver, kidney, and pancreas. This position involves desk work and requires proficient skills in MediTech and Microsoft applications for effective data management and patient coordination.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the outpatient care of pre, waitlist, and post solid organ transplant patients.
• Assist in rooming and assessing patients during clinic days, when applicable.
• Engage in WebEx meetings as needed to coordinate care and discuss patient outcomes.
• Maintain a caring and compassionate demeanor while addressing complex patient psychosocial needs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Preferred: Two (2) or more years of experience in transplant services.
• Experience with United Network of Organ Sharing (UNOS) and Organ Procurement Organizations (OPO) is a plus.
