12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM; every other weekend required; must work holidays as scheduled.

Job Description

The MedSurg/Tele Float Pool Registered Nurse will provide nursing care to patients across various units, primarily in MedSurg and Telemetry settings. You will work with a diverse patient population including those with diagnoses such as CHF, cardiac conditions, pneumonia, chronic renal disease, COPD, orthopedic issues, and oncology care. The position requires the ability to read and interpret telemetry strips, as well as basic medication management.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and ensure patient safety across multiple units.
• Administer medications and perform treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions and report changes to the healthcare team.
• Assist in the management and interpretation of telemetry data.
• Collaborate with healthcare staff to provide effective care.
• Complete documentation in the EPIC charting system.

Required Experience

• Must have a valid RN license and be able to pass a cardiac rhythm exam.
• Previous experience in a MedSurg/Tele environment is preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

• BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
