Job Description
The Professional RN Team Lead is responsible for effective time management, critical thinking, delegation, and prioritization within the nursing team. This role includes direct patient care responsibilities such as assessing, monitoring, recording, and reporting patients' conditions. The RN Team Lead will collaborate with the care team, participate in interdisciplinary care, and advocate for patients to ensure high-quality healthcare delivery.
Responsibilities
- Manage nursing staff and ensure effective delegation and prioritization of tasks.
- Conduct assessment, monitoring, recording, and reporting of patient conditions.
- Advocate for patients and coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team.
- Maintain clinical competence and participate in required education within specified timeframes.
- Communicate effectively with team members and document thoroughly in EMR.
- Participate in unit councils and staff meetings to improve healthcare delivery.
- May be required to perform duties as an LPN Med Cart as needed based on staffing availability.
Required Experience
Applicants should have a valid RN license, along with experience in nursing leadership and patient care.
Certifications/Licensure
- Must hold an active state RN license.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications are preferred.
