This position offers a Night Shift from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM with 48 hours guaranteed per week, including OT after 48 hours.
Job Description
Join the Pediatric ICU team at Mission Hospital, where you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to pediatric patients, including those with oncology needs. The unit consists of 19 total beds - 13 pediatric and 6 oncology. You will be supported by a multidisciplinary team and required to use Cerner EMR for documentation.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients in the ICU setting.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
- Monitor patient vitals and respond to changes in patient status.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients and families about care plans and procedures.
Required Experience
- Minimum of two years of pediatric experience in a hospital setting.
- Experience in Pediatric Oncology is highly preferred.
Certifications/Licensure
- Active RN license in North Carolina.
- PALS certification required.
- BLS certification required.
