Registered Nurse - Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)

This position requires a day shift schedule, working 3x12-hour shifts from 07:00 to 19:00.

Job Description

The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) is seeking a registered nurse with a minimum of 2 years of PICU experience and exposure to CICU. The role may involve floating to other units as needed, particularly to the Cardiac/Vascular PICU (CICU). High patient census may necessitate floating, and travelers are informed prior to their shift. Candidates with a flexible schedule, including availability to work weekends and holidays, are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients.
• Monitor patient status and implement care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Communicate with healthcare team members regarding patient conditions and care plans.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of PICU experience.
• Exposure to CICU preferred.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required.
• Active RN license, with preference for multi-state compact licenses.
