Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Registered Nurse

Day shifts, 3x12 hour schedule from 06:45 to 19:15.

Job Description

The Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Registered Nurse will provide care to patients ages 0-17 with medical-surgical conditions specifically within the hematology and oncology specialty. The role requires administering chemotherapy, managing central lines, and performing lab draws and IV starts.

Responsibilities

• Administer chemotherapy and manage ports.
• Perform IV starts and lab draws.
• Monitor and evaluate patient responses to treatment.
• Implement isolation precautions and use PPE as required.
• Document patient care in Epic and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Provide nursing care for pediatric medical-surgical and oncology patients.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in pediatric nursing.
• BCLS and PALS certification required.
• Chemotherapy certification preferred.
• Must be open to floating to PICU and NICU as needed.
• NC or Compact RN license required for submission.
