ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Step Down Unit (Night Shift) in Olympia, Washington.

Night shift, 4x12-hour schedule, from 19:00 to 07:30.

Job Description

The successful candidate will work in a float capacity across various units, including tele, medical-surgical, and step-down. The nurse will provide care for a diverse patient population, often including ER-boarded patients. Our team is dedicated to meeting the needs of the institution, adapting to unit acuity, and ensuring hospital efficiency.

Documentation will be handled using the EPIC system.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient care across multiple units with a nurse-to-patient ratio varying from 1:4 to 1:6.
• Function as Charge Nurse on smaller units, overseeing staffing needs, bed flow, and coordination of care.
• Provide essential nursing skills including cardiac telemetry, care of ventilated patients, and the administration of blood products.
• Float to fulfill institutional needs as necessary.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of previous charge experience.
• Experience in US healthcare settings is required; Canadian experience is not sufficient.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current RN license (Compact license must be in hand at submission).
• Certifications: ACLS and NIHSS are required.
