Night shift, 3x12 hours (18:45 - 07:15), weekend shift required every 2 weeks.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Step Down unit will provide care for adult patients with a variety of diagnoses, ensuring their safety and comfort while adhering to best practices and protocols. You will utilize Epic for charting and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage patient care in the Step Down unit.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
• Ensure accurate documentation in Epic EMR.
• Provide patient education and support to patients and their families.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a Step Down or similar unit.
• Experience with a patient ratio of 5:1.
• 1-year minimum experience with Epic EMR required.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current RN license.
• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications required.
• CPI certification preferred.
