Shift: 7 PM - 7 AM, Weekend Every Other

Job Description

The Stepdown PCU RN will provide critical nursing care to patients requiring close monitoring and support in a structured environment. This role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patient conditions, implementing care plans accordingly.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Work collaboratively with healthcare team members to ensure quality patient care.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.
• Document patient care and progress accurately in the electronic medical record.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have a valid and active RN license; temporary licenses are not accepted.
• 2+ years of hospital experience.
• 2+ years of specialty experience in a PCU or step-down unit.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• NIH certification required.
• Experience with MEDITECH is preferred.
