Registered Nurse - Stepdown Unit

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Stepdown Unit at a leading healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 12 months of permanent nursing experience in the specialty and will possess a permanent Ohio license or a compact state license. This position may require floating to other units as needed to provide care for a similar patient population.

Schedule

This role requires a rotational shift schedule, consisting of day and night shifts.

• Day Shift: 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30)
• Night Shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to stepdown patients.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and administer medications as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement patient care plans.
• Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards in patient care.
• Participate in patient education and discharge planning.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 12 months of permanent experience in a Stepdown or similar unit.
• Active Ohio Registered Nurse license or compact state license.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
• Ability to work at least every other holiday.
