Registered Nurse - Stepdown Unit

Shift: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM

Job Description

Join our team as a Registered Nurse in the Stepdown Unit, where you will provide exceptional care for patients with complex cardiac conditions. You will be responsible for monitoring your patients, administering medications, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients with conditions such as CHF, MI, arrhythmias, and Pulmonary Hypertension.
• Administer titratable cardiac IV medications and manage patient care effectively.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Perform bedside procedures, including cardioversion as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must possess a valid RN license.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• Telemetry and stepdown or progressive care experience is required.
• Experience with cardiac medications such as nitroglycerine, amiodarone, and insulin drips.
• Preferred: Experience with prostacyclins (Flolan, Veletri, Remodulin) and relief charge experience.
