Job Description

The PCU Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a 24-bed medical trauma unit. The nurse will be responsible for maintaining optimal patient outcomes through effective care coordination and collaboration with the healthcare team. This role requires experience in an IMU/PCU setting, performing critical nursing procedures, and adherence to strict patient care protocols.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and perform assessments and reassessments.
• Communicate effectively with all members of the care team.
• Document patient care activities in the EHR-Meditech Expanse.
• Provide care to patients post-heart catheterization.
• Perform procedures such as thoracentesis and chest tube care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Minimum of 1 year of IMU/PCU experience.
