Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Scheduled 36 hours per week following the first week of orientation. No guarantee of hours, with no on-call duties.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for our Progressive Care Unit. The ideal candidate will provide primary nursing care, telemetry monitoring, and support patient health in a dynamic hospital environment.

Responsibilities

• Administer primary nursing care for patients in the Progressive Care Unit.
• Monitor telemetry and read telemetry strips.
• Perform fingerstick blood sugar tests.
• Utilize Meditech for charting and Pyxis for medication administration.
• Provide care using BIPAP and continuous cardiac monitoring equipment.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of hospital acute care experience within the last year.
• Experience in Progressive Care and telemetry preferred.
• Active Hawaii RN license required by the start of the assignment.
• ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications preferred.
