Registered Nurse - Weekend Shift

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Weekend shift from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM.

Job Description

The competent Nurse practices independently in a clinical setting, providing routine and complex care. They possess the ability to focus on long-range goals and demonstrate effective management of clinical situations.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care using the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
• Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side effects and treatment effectiveness.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care given.
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients and caregivers; identify issues and resources.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred.
• BLS certification (AHA only) required.
• Current RN License in the state of Texas or compact.
• EPIC charting experience required; minimum of two years required for CVOR.
